Chef Sakari Smithwick
Chef Sakari's earliest memories and love for food became his initial passion, fostered by family meals in Long Island, NY, and the joy of harvesting fresh vegetables in North Carolina. Transitioning to New York City Chef Sakari showcased his talents in some of the world's finest restaurants, including Marea, Eleven Madison Park, and Restaurant Ukiyo. Following this chapter, he expanded his horizons through experiences in Washington, D.C., Seattle, and the Netherlands. Returning home, he established his pop-up concept, "Noble Promise," symbolizing a promising future rooted in keeping one's word. This venture drew notable attention from industry figures and brands alike. He has appeared in Hell's Kitchen on FOX, and gaining recognition through Food Network's Chopped. He was also appointed Executive Chef of SKS by LG. and worked with Brands such as Hexclad.
Chef Sakari firmly believes that investing in the future, particularly in children, is the key to changing the world for the better. His debuted memoir and cookbook guide “Savor Your Journey: Three Simple Steps to find your secret sauce in life,” is scheduled to be released this November 2025. Sakari has a degree in culinary arts, and a Bachelor’s in Restaurant Management from the State University of New York at Delhi. He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
